Good morning friends, We are home again. It's been a lovely vacation in Indio. The heat and the pool were most welcome. Even though we had a full kitchen, we usually ate dinner out, except twice. I brought the #1 Carb and Zero Carb bread. I think they helped in keeping the weight in check. The long drive home didn't do well on my knee. I am looking forward to getting a new one. Now all is back to normal (I hope). Have a good day everyone!

Great to hear your vacation was lovely, Gigi, without too much damage to your weight program. Trust your knee feeling better now.
Blessings, Jan

I am so impressed...went on vacation, ate out most every night and still lost weight. Great job, Gigi...and welcome back!

Glad you had a great time (except for that ride home!). Great job working your program while on vacation! Seems like there are lots of options on knee surgery these days. DH had a graft about a year ago and has done well with it (he fell from an attic stair in the garage, landed hard on concrete, and blew out his ACL, among other damage). In fact, he can go running. Good luck with your decision!

Thank you all :) @Sandy, my doctor informed the the orthodepic department and they will call me to set up the appointment. I will ask about all options. I think that at my age (72), they will want to replace the knee. I am glad to hear that your hurband can run again. what a blessing! I am very motivated and will do my part to get well. The thought of once again taking long walks, getting up and down from chairs without pain, is exhilarating. I know it will be painful at first, but I already have pain now. It can only get better.

Good to hear that you had a wonderful vacation. It sounds like it was just what was needed and the fact that you did not gain is very inspiring. I am excited about your knee replacement as I know so many who have had them and are enjoying life to the fullest. My DMIL had one about fifteen years ago and has never had one moment of regret. She is 90 and still walks every day. We have been on a roller coaster ride with work...I am hoping that this will be our season. I am trying to encourage Bruce to call it quits and enjoy life while we can. I am getting way to old to do the level of physical work that comes with this type of work and certainly the stress is enough to kill anyone. I have been praying a lot for direction. Hoping to be back here more....and talking to my friends. Blessings....

Blessings to you too Gwen. Hopefully Bruce will heed your advice and slow down a bit. You can't do this pace forever. Hugs XXX
