Cheers to the weekend!

Yesterday was a test of willpower. I decided to try to stay reasonable on my calorie consumption and temptation was there every step of the way. I thought it'd be fairly easy since I'm broke and I couldn't go out for any rich meals but...

Friday is always donut day at work, so I kind of planned for that. I didn't think we'd have so much food left over from food day, or bagels. And in my new department, I guess we also get treats (this week, chocolate lava cake) every Friday meeting. And then someone decided to bring in dozens of cookies in the afternoon. I knew I'd be going out to the bar with the work crowd in the evening too.

I had a terrific time last night. I really like the people I work with. After that, I went out to a movie/date my friends and a cute guy. So, all in all, it was everything I could ask for on a Friday night.

I ran on Thursday, sad that I can only do a mile. But I started at less than that and worked my way up. I can do so again. I've gotten too lazy.

Work is going well. Still in training. I changed shifts, so now I'm 730 to 430. It's nice because I don't have to stay late on Thursdays anymore. I'm still kind of hoping I get offered a full time job in my new department, although there are benefits to being a cross-trainer.

Time to go get something done with today.

Haha! It's actually a wonderful environment, we just go a little excessive on the food sometimes. My coworker told me the other day that they're trying to turn us nerdier- with the unlimited carbs, sugar, and caffeine. Have a great weekend! Thanks!
