DO N OK's Journal, 25 October 2017

My wife told me I'm looking like I have anorexia ??? Don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing. ???.It seems to me that now I'm having a tough time to stabilize my weight as it keeps dropping. I have been on the weight loosing mode strong for the last year, and now I still want to loose.??.My wife told me that I need counseling ???. Perhaps I do ?? I really am going to now try to stabilize the weight..The good , the bad , the ugly side of loosing weight !!! I had never thought of the ugly side of loosing, but I have read some facts on people who can not stop, and there has been some on here..And now I think I could be one of them.???. I just think I'm afraid I will gain it ALL back.???. And my journey goes on. I guess I'm not DO N OK this week, Perhaps a croissant will help this week ??? My all time favorite

Gary, the struggle is real. I had a croissant on Monday. The texture, the taste, OH BOY it was good. Here I am today still haven't crossed over to Onederland. I'm kinda ok with this. If you want the croissant, eat it. If you fall just get back up. We are here for you.

I know that fear! Why not give yourself a 5 lb band around your maintenance weight, and recognize that it's OK to go up and down within that band .. if you get close to the upper limit, be a little more strict, and otherwise don't sweat the little gains and losses.

Hey Do N OK, I would see my primary care to make sure the continued loss isn't something serious. Some people are still on Keto...years and years later...after all the necessary weight loss...because they floated down to the best weight for their body...and then Keto meals / and calorie intake...tweaked --became the maintenance. I hope to do this...but I still have miles to go...before maintenance. Carbs will never be my answer as I can't control them, but maybe you can...everyones is different...but maybe a increase in portions may stop the continued weight loss. But...how do you feel...physically ? That's the real indicator of your wellness. My best to you on this ...it's tough!

I agree with Rhills - for years I maintained within a 5 pound range and once I reached the top number I would stay focused until I dropped down to the low number. I did really well with my eating during the work week, packing a healthy lunch and snacks. I could do what I wanted on the weekend and maintain. Of course, at that time I hiked near Tahoe most weekends and either ran or rode my bike in the mornings before work. Don't ask how I got back to where I am now.........................

If your wife tells you you start to look too thin then she is probably right. At the moment I think I look good having the current weight but for some reason I want to keep loosing and get to my target. Once I reach it and if I look too thin I`ll try to put some on but by choosing healthy food. I think the weight loss has become your habit (maybe addition) and you feel very anxious to put some weight back. I don`t know your age but I think you should put some back by consuming nutritious food which will benefit your age and health. Anyway, I`ll leave that decision to you and I hope you will make the right one ;-)
