OK! 2 lbs gone and on my way back down. My efforts have been rewarded, at least this week they have. I wonder sometimes if I am going to have to stay at 1200-1500 calories and 20 - 30 carbs all my life? I love weighing 165-170, but I also love to eat and sometimes the latter gets the best of me. I must have a very slow metabolism. I know my heartbeat is slower than normal, but Dr says that is not a bad thing. Anyway, I am happy to have lost 2 pounds. Maybe I can get the other 7 off before the holidays.

Thanks M-2B I'm trying very hard. It is tough when I have to prepare meals for my husband. He is pretty good about eating what I want and has been turning down a potato at mealtime. We were both raised on meat and potatoes so the meal seems a little skimpy when there isn't a potatoe of some kind on the plate.

That is one of my biggest problems, too ... feeding my mom and hubby and NOT eating the potatoes. Growing up, we always had one starch on the plate. Either the potato (white or sweet) or rice or corn. I will still eat a sweet potato, on occasion. My husband isn't that keen on eating a lot of vegetables, so that potato is what he wants.

Here it is time for the evening meal. Tuna salad on low carb bread. Yum,yum. Golf was good today although I didn't get much walking done. I drove the cart right up to the ball. We didn't have to stay 50 feet away from the greens because we were not allowed to put on the greens. It was fun, but not much exercise.
