So, 30 days on a protein-sparing modified fast. 14 lbs lost! Low carb, low fat, moderate protein. It was only 500-600 cal/day, but it was pretty easy! I'm going to take a week break, eating regular low carb. Then either do it again, or do a water fast 2 days a week. I'm determined to get most of this weight off that I put back on before the holidays come. It's been quite a while since I was in the 160's, and I'm hoping if I can get there before the holidays, it will give me strength. The holidays have done me in every time!!!
181.0 lb Lost so far: 84.0 lb.    Still to go: 16.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Wow way to go! So if it's low carb moderate protein low-fat, what do you eat mostly? are you able to feel full? those are some results that make me interested!

Sorry for the delayed response! I've been low carb for several years (if you don't count the slips). So even when I fast, I don't really feel hungry. It's more mental/emotional, not physical hunger. Anyway, it's mostly chicken/tuna, egg whites, protein shakes, and low carb veggies (zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower). I eat 70-100g protein daily, under 20 total carbs, under 20g fat plus fish oil. There are some simple dishes you can do, if you don't like things plain. I don't mind, so I ate an egg white omelet, protein shake, and chicken with zucchini and low fat cheese pretty much every day. The protocol says you can have 2 free meals a week, which I kept low carb but added fat (so, ground beef, cheese, etc). You can google psmf and get more info, or message me. And yes, I felt full. It was not that bad, and I had been stalled for months!

I do a protein shake for breakfast. I love 'em...Quest or Jay Robb. I crush about 10 ice cubes, add the protein shake, some vanilla and maple, instant coffee, 2T cottage cheese, and 1/3c almond milk. I blend the heck out of it, and get a really creamy, filling shake.
