Exercise works wonders...it can be the catalyst to end any stall. I hope you get up the energy!

No offense please, but perhaps your expectations are a bit too high. You are losing great! A stall is only truly a stall if you haven't lost any weight for more than 4 weeks in a row. That doesn't appear to be true for you. Realistically, unless you go down to 1000 kcal, you are going to keep losing at 1/2 to 1 lb a week--but it might not be visible on the scale for a couple of weeks at a time. You are fairly close to your goal weight, so your body is going to try harder to hang on to the extra weight. But it MUST obey according to what you are eating or how much you are exercising. In fact if you increase your exercise you might even lose weight more slowly. BUT you will be replacing fat with muscle which is more dense and svelte looking on your body. If you add some weight lifting or weight resistance to your day you'll see it in the fit of your clothes very, very quickly. No need to go to the gym either. Look around your house and find things you can lift. Doing Squats, Lunges (I hate doing those), leg lifts, even walking in place means using the largest muscles in your body which will increase calorie burn without much space and no extra equipment needed; and weight resistance exercises actually increases your metabolism all day, not just during the exercise. Even Wally-world sells really cheap handheld weights too if you want to work your upper body and don't want to lift cans out of the pantry. Get some of the cheap handheld weights to carry while you walk! Doing abdominal crunches and side to side twists and bends will have your abdomen looking skinny and tight in no time! Enjoy your success! You're doing awesome! I'm so jealous! :)

Thanks everyone for the comments & support!!! This is the first time I've posted how I really feel...I usually keep to myself. You're right, I do have 'great expectations' and should be more realistic and happy with my progress. I started doing zumba a couple times a week, then my doggie was diagnosed with cancer (she has a malignant bone tumor), so I got sad and lazy. I recently started walking my doggies when the weather was nice, but need to exercise on a more consistant basis. I bought workout DVD and I've been meaning to start...I'm gonna try it as soon as I get home...can't give myself enough time to have the lazy set in ;-) I'm not a morning person, but I should try to get it out of the way before the day starts. Thanks again for your kind words and comments!!!
