this is not working :( been drinking 8 glasses of water or more a day since march 1st and have been doing atkis for 3 weeks now, even started paying attention to calories this week and logging everything. should have seen a big drop by now but all the weight gained during the last cheat is sticking around. usually its gone a week later. grrr!!!! maybe atkins isnt affective anymore? i hate to switch 1 week from trend but i dunno what else to do! hmmmm better think of something fast!!!!! Trend in 10 days and vegas in 50!
172.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 18.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

i'm not into atkins...but i've noticed, that you are way under 1'000 calories a day. is this really what you wanted to? don't you think, you could use a bit more calories? and i've noticed that you ofter skip meals mostly lunch. is that really good for you? and also: you don't eat a lot of veggies. and for one thing i'm sure of: atkins wants you to eat veggies... maybe you should overthink your diet or maybe as you said: atkins isn't working for you (anymore). people and bodys change...

Your weight history chart is all over the place. You have a lot of ups and downs. If you go on and off plan frequently, this can happen. Consistency is very important with weight loss. Give it a week of doing the plan 100%. Make sure your eating the right foods. There are sample menu's on the Atkins site or use the book. If your doing induction, you should see a loss most weeks. It may not be big because you don't have a lot to lose. No matter what diet you do, you may not lose a lot each week because of that fact, but a pound or two will take you to your goal. Get active if you haven't been. Every little thing we do adds up to weight loss. Remember consistency is key.

Yes, I am not a model weight loser, but if you exceed the 30 grams of carbs per day, it can take 3 days to get back into ketosis and for the Adkins approach to recover.

I am just now finding out that members can comment here! This is so cool. I appreciate all these comments. Its got me thinking too because I do eat a lot of veggies and I think why it looks like I dont eat a lot is really just lack of logging my food, not lack of eating it! I will try and make that a priority and from now on after I log everything I will click the this is is exactly what I ate button and then I will know that it was an actual full food log. But these comments are true my weight goes up and down like crazy... still trying to get a handle on things!

One thing you might consider - many say that you must eat breakfast. If you don't you stay hungrier through the day. Protein (and a little fat) sustain you longer. Try that a couple of days and see how you will not be starving for lunch...
