afernow's Journal, 16 December 2007

Well, for the first time ever since I joined Fat Secret in October did I gain weight. Those darn cookies and candies that my sister in law made yesterday and bought to my house and I ate 5-6 of them. After tell my husband several times to get rid of the cookies or I will be tempted to eat them today, did he hide them. This is the first time I binge and blew it without planning for it. I hate recorded a gain, but I want a reality check on my graph of what happens when you eat out of control. I could have just had one or two, but no I had at least 5 or 6 of those goodies. I know that I got to keep my cool for the rest of the week cuz Family Christmas is next Sunday. Now, I probably won't meet my goal. I am telling myself look at my chart, forgive myself and let go. Move forward.
153.0 lb Lost so far: 17.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Aw, never mind and if it makes you feel any better I gained too this week... a result of bad eating while I was away for a couple of days!! Still it's good to see that you can forgive yourself - I was quite frustrated with myself too for going off the rails. Never mind... you're still doing fantastic, so just keep sticking with it and good luck for this week! :o)

I like your comment about looking at the weight gain on your chart and using it as a reminder of what happens if we eat the wrong foods. Still, it shouldn't be too hard to forgive yourself! your chart is in a constant downward spiral and you've never had such a gain as this latest one. If I eat out on Saturday night dates with my husband I'll fast on Sunday (mainly I drink protein shakes for the 3 main meals). By Monday morning, there's never a trace of my indescretions!
