Tuesday, 2/28 Steps = 12,312

Lost 1.9 this week. I hope this continues. I wish it was faster, but I feel better than I have in a long time. I read that for every pound I lose, I relieve 4 lbs of pressure on my knees. That helps keep me going. I love walking, and hope I can walk without pain.

The doctor said that after limiting my portions for awhile, I wouldn't feel as hungry. That has happened. What I have discovered myself, is that by eliminating white flour, most white sugar and empty carbs in chips and processed snacks, I no longer crave those things.

It's funny though, I was standing in line at the store yesterday and glanced at the candy. I looked away and almost felt it was beckoning to me! LOL! Then I realized that I didn't even want it. I used to think that every trip to the grocery store should be rewarded with a candy bar or snack. If I could give back all those calories, I would have a normal BMI. As someone posted today, "can't look back, only forward"!

I feel like I have a secret. As I walk around in my baggy clothes, I know to others, I appear to be a fat old lady. There I am on my walks, limping away at a slow pace. What they don't see, is that I can already feel a fit, non-limping person developing inside me. Someday, I will leave them in my dust!
