All right, It's over. I enjoyed Thanksgiving and gave not a thought to what I ate. Then Friday I had to do the leftover thing - that is actually more enjoyable for me than Thanksgiving because I am not to exhausted to enjoy it. BUT, oh my!! On Friday and Saturday after the feasting, I felt like I had a food hangover. I did not drink anything so it had to be the food. I really did feel hung over. I couldn't wait to get back to my program yesterday. I drank about a gallon of water yesterday and now I am starting to feel more normal. Also, I think the higher salt content in the holiday food messed with my potassium balance and I had terrible leg and foot cramps on Thanksgiving night. OK - back on track. Hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I think we are all recovering from food hangovers, LOL. Let's just get back on track and get to feeling good again. I look forward to it. =)

I think food can give you a major carb hangover worse than alcohol. I can no longer indulge in simple carbs, I get sick, I vomit, my blood sugars go through the roof. I am going through that hell of doing without those carbs, i have been trying to get off the carbs and have had a headache for three days now. Some of my weight loss last week was due to being sick, now I am really struggling to get through weaning myself off the crappy carbs. But I know that if I stick with it, I will feel just wonderful. On a happier note, I got my new shoes with the needed inserts, I should be out of the wheelchair soon. I plan to start out on a moderate walking plan and work my way backup to the 5 miles I used to walk daily. Not bad for a fat old fart like me. I EAT to live..
