Record low today! 246.8 and I am back to work today.

I did not Journal 1st thing in the AM as usual today, too much going on. Now its after lunch. Wow, what a day! So glad to be back at work, but walking on my crutches is SO DAMN strenuous. Top all that off I get into the building this AM and the elevator is down. My colleagues walked with me up the stairs. Its only 1 flight, but its a government data-center, so the floors are about twice as tall as normal. Holy sh*t batman! Its about a 300 yard/meter walk into our building, and I have to stop and rest a few times on the way. Then lunch too, wow, I am a bit overwhelmed. Maybe because I am in an ambulatory state lately.

Anyhoo, just looked it up, walking on crutches raises heart rate more than 53% over regular walking. Now I feel vindicated. Even my wife was giving me a hard time over my apparent lack of fitness. I am not denying that, even I am concerned, but I can tell I am doing a lot of work just moving around. Hopefully it will help my weight loss as well. And what does that mean 53% over regular walking? How much does running raise it in %? more puzzles.

Today at work has been nice, I was able to contribute and fix all the *nix stuff that piled up while I was gone. At least I will get my manly sense of accomplishment and contribution back. And I get to socialize outside of the home.

I am very grateful for my Wife and Kids today. My Daughter (17) emailed and said she missed me today! Nobody was home with her, poor kid. Son is in school, wife doing errands. Its an amazing symphony of stuff getting done. I am grateful for my son and his new school, thanks to my company for doing that. I am also grateful for my co-workers. They accepted me back and are holding doors for me, and bringing me my healthy lunch!
