October 25th is the last time I weighed myself. I ABSOLUTELY KNEW IT WASN'T GOING TO BE GOOD BECAUSE I JUST FELT FATTER!!

I really hope much of this weight is caused by visiting many family members this Thanksgiving week, eating too many carbs and drinking too many liquids!

A drop of 4 or 5 pounds this week would be nice.

My blood pressure even went up a little bit. Ugh! Speaking of this, are there any foods that help reduce blood pressure?

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving Holiday and are back on track...at least until Christmas! :)

Foods high in potassium are recommended for blood pressure control -- bananas and orange juice are recommended in particular. Of course, they are also high in carbs so you have to balance the benefits and the detriment. You may be better simply concentrating on taking the weight off, which is also usually good for the BP.

Thanks for the tip on potassium. I will eat a banana here and there but yeah, taking weight off has helped reduce it thus far.

Low fat low sodium and fresh veggies reduce blood pressure along with calcium supplementation. Caloric restriction and sodium restriction can drop your blood pressure in days. Significant caloric restriction.

Read Carolyn Dean website about Magnesium Miracle. Careful with calcium, too much can cause problem. I had high blood pressure range of 165/90. Naturally reduced with supplements, and had been volatile over a period of a couple months. light jogging helped but have seen great improvements since going on the ionic magnesium and also started Ketogenic diet - using Atkins roughly and looking at Rosedale. I just took BP tonight at 115/76 - optimal. I am hitting the normal to optimal range regularly.

When my bottom number jumped up I was recommended to a Dietician to help reduce my Sodium intake to drop my blood pressure. It REALLY sucks trying to avoid sodium - it's not table salt that gets you, it's everything else - bread, packaged food, etc. Potassium is good but watch out for juices as the calories are loaded there. Cauliflower and oats are good. Dropped my BP from spiking to 150/100 down to 140/80 in the past few months.
