Finally it is Friday!! (~:

It has been a LONG week. I end this glorious week dancing below that blue line ... once again (with feeling!!). It is sort of cool to see how long I have been within 5 lbs of so of that elusive blue line. I realized this week, amidst my freaking out, that the only reason I really want to lose more weight is to see the number on the scale. I am not interested in wearing a smaller size. I like how my clothes fit and I like my clothes!! I feel good most of the time (other than the typical ups and downs we all experience). I know I am not alone ... many of you can relate to that obsession with a certain number.

This weekend Mom is spending with her miniature buddies (Amyrk I know that will bring forth funny images in your head!!!). So Bob and I are ALONE ... and hopefully we will both get some much needed rest. I am hoping too to catch up on paperwork at home, sorting, maybe a little housework, and the usual laundry. Next Friday she leaves for two weeks to visit her sister in California. I will be having a 4 day weekend ... I might even stretch it to five days!! I'm sure I will not be caught up at work but I realize that if I don't take care of myself I'm likely to start sputtering uncontrollably and have a total meltdown. LOL!!

Five things to be grateful for today ...

1. Bob's blood sugar was PERFECT so no worries about diabetes
2. FRIDAY and PAYDAY
3. friends
4. family
5. functioning brain cells despite feeling overwhelmed

Have a fabulous day ... I'll work on taking care of me if you will all work on taking care of you!!!

Woo hoo for the blue line! I somewhat know what you mean with the number vs. the clothing. I still want to keep losing because I'm not happy with my body yet, but its frustrating and expencive to keep buying new clothes!!! I went to a consignment store, but didn't realize that it was a super HIGH END consignment store. I'm going to have to find a normal cheap one LOL So glad to hear about Bob.. or is it Bill... LOL KIDDING!!!! Glad your getting a rest this weekend, though... miniture buddies??? Explination please!!!!

Miniature buddies ... My mom makes miniatures and belongs to a "club" of folks who make miniatures. So she makes little tiny displays, such as a toy store, fireworks stand, cantina, etc. and so forth!!! She does not have little teeny tiny buddies!!! LOL!!!

lol Very cool of your mother! But teeny tiny buddies would be way cooler :P I think you are taking this blue line thing as normal as can be expected. I mean you can't NOT gaurd it. Sometimes focusing on the lower number, not necessaarily losing more, is the secret to maintain. Its what I am figuring out. People will ask me why do I watch what I eat, well 'cause I don't want to fluct up 3-4 lbs. If I did, and I wasn't gaurding it, and then I wouldn't correct the scale the following day... wouldn't THAT make me fail? I like the lower number now, nothing is wrong with that. So think Moose, its just a day to day thing we just are going to have to live with. No one stays one solid weight... you say it yourself, no one is ever done!

Absolutely Cindy ... you have it down to a science!! LOL!!! I just hope over time it gets easier to ride the little "ups" and "downs" and that I learn to be "content" and not constantly thinking I "should" be or "could" be different. I'd like to be okay with ME!! LOL!! Okay, most of the time I am ... I admit it ... I just hate FUNK!!!

Sigh! I have almost forgotten what that place is like UNDER the limbo pole! That's what I used to call the beautiful blue line. No comments about pole dancing - please! He-he-he-he-he-he-he! Oh - you've got mail.

You *have* been doing extremely well staying close to that line moose. I can certainly relate to what you've said, probably in part because I've strayed a bit mote than usual lately, an also because I understand that one can stray a bit and still feel great. I'm glad to hear that you will be getting a well deserved rest in the near future. Have a great weekend!

Moose, I was trying to explain to you last week that I am guessing the funk comes from ... um kinda sorta wanting that lower number, but maybe not really. But then we fluct UP so high thats when we start getting hard on ourselves for not pushing lower #s when we could have. I dunno. For me I am under that blue line so much that I can step back and not be so harsh when I fluct up, and I haven't fluct up all the way too it so I am happy with that. The funk is easier to handle (for a day!lol) maybe you can start reminding yourself you aren't at 190 and haven't been in so long. Maybe that will help you get rid of the funk.

Glad your mom had fun with her little buddies! :) I love how you stay so near the blue line. Under is good, but you even inspire when you're a little over - cuz you're never THAT far over. Nice that you have a 4 - 5 day weekend to look forward to!
