Well, a happy American election day, today. If you haven't gone to vote, GO DO IT, instead of complaining, about the system. The system would work so much better, if we cared MORE about AMERICA, instead of our partisan parties. WE are the problem, NOT THE SYSTEM! Had a great trip to Palm Springs! Enjoy the pics. GO VOTE!

FRANK SINATRA, NEW YORK, NEW YORK!

They say never talk politics or religion at meals. :) But I must agree with Oliver on this. and that the deeper issue is corporations control our 2 party system and would control a multiple party system. They have the money, the lobbyists, and the desire to control. Not for society's benefit, but mainly to the investors benefit. And their choices affect all of us, even them: those choices are particularly why most of us are overweight, and not very healthy. So, I support getting insight into what is CAUSING our health problems. Because it DOES include the political system. And by the way, it's pretty obvious to me that corporations have chosen the 'divide and conquer" strategy to get away with what they are doing. Blinding us to that, by dividing us all into Right or Left politically, and they are very good at influencing us all. Using ranting right wing talk shows, and left wing propaganda pushing HOPE. Changing the political system is more complex than it appears. Awareness is part of the solution. Remember, when I was in grade school, there was only ONE fat kid. and size 31 pants were actually pretty close to 31 inches. The average woman wore size 3 to 7. (as per Sally Jessy Raphael talk show in the 1990's) Looking at pictures from before 1980, it's plain to see that most people were slim. We really need to step OUTSIDE of our belief systems, beliefs that were programmed into us, to be able to see the whole picture more clearly. Stop and Question everything. Including this post, and our reaction to it, and Olivers post. How about we stop letting them manipulate us? :)

That's Ok. Freedom includes the right to voice your opinion. All I know, is I worked my ASS off to get to a lifestyle I enjoy. Careful rationalizing one's problems to outside forces instead of your own determination. I hear everyone talking of lousy candidate choices. I believe I am voting for one of the best Presidential candidates in the history of the electorate, who just happens to be a WOMAN.Enough said! lol

Didn't realize Sonny died at Heavenly Valley Ski Resort. Some steep slopes there, I have skied there a few times. Glad I didn't kill anyone skiing, because I was too BIG for skiing. REALLY!

I voted! And then went for a drive with the top down on this gorgeous day. When I stopped at the traffic signal at the "flag plaza" near here, I got to look up at a giant American flag beautifully blowing in the breeze overhead. We are so fortunate to be Americans!

Thanks April, Erika, and Kp! Kp, I hope you were playing Sinatra's New York, New York! Erika, my attorney friend's wife says I HAVE to go to Italy. She was saying what a wonderful trip they had. The pics were amazing. April, I am confident, but nervous. There has never been a more important election. Thank God for smart women. Lol

Warren, my one and only European vacation was to Italy. It did not disappoint! I'm an art appreciator, so it was amazing to see all those paintings and statues that I've only seen pictures of. Plus the food and wine was wonderful. We went to Rome, Tuscany and Florence. Heavenly!
