UP a pound...DANGER!WILL ROBINSON...DANGER!!! If you are old, you know what i am talking about! Ha!

I almost had a major derailment. I started eating mindlessly and uncontrollably and freaking out about food...Just a glitch...my own head playing tricks on me... What happened was Hubby decided to go on a new way of eating and I got caught up in what i should or should not eat and started the wrong mentality....I am jazzed that he is doing something about his weight...he IS READY...and we are a great team. We've been married 39 years and still best friends and "raise the roof" now and again..it was just silly me...I had to record this gain, because sometimes I wait till it goes down and I stretch out my weigh in time....that's not being honest with myself...it is what it is...

I tell ya one thing though, eating mostly protein really tends to turn your appetite around and make you feel better almost instantly. I am not totally protein or totally anti-carb...but I know what works and stuffing all the pizza in your face will never satisfy that hunger and what your
body really needs.

I did walk for 1.5 hours today and took my dad to the foot doctor and we are making progress! Life is good. have a great rest of the week buddies!

Glad you got back on track. It isn't easy. I certainly got caught in the trigger trap over the Halloween weekend. I too am back hiking with my hubby and even got to a yoga/body rolling class today. Together we can do lulani

We say that around here also :) The joints are pretty sore today so I stayed in and kinda got lost in your journals...I so wonder if we have met before!(Sound like a stalker...I know!!) Makes me realize how many folks we see who are on somewhat parallel paths and we just don't recognize it. Trying to lose a pound or 30, trying to keep the family/work/life balanced...Have a beautiful rest of the fall, If I see you on the bike path, I'll honk :) Btw,I feel the same way about garden clean up, much easier now than come spring :)

Lulani, now you are quoting from one of my "all time" favorites, the very CAMPY, "Lost in Space". Whatever happened to great TV, like "Highway Patrol", "Leave It to Beaver", "The Addams Family" and on and on???LOL

My childhood memories with my mom and dad were....car 54 where are you, Peter Gunn,, perry mason and wagon train, bonanza, etc...BUT we didn't watch a lot of tv when I was younger. Makes me wonder why I gained weight because we had a lot of outdoor playing time too!!!

Keep on walking. Walking is a great way to burn a ton of calories.
