So I wasn't going to record this weight because at first I thought it is only 0.2 of a pound BUT.... I was so excited to see the scale say 214 instead of 215 that I just had too! Finally!! All my hard work has paid off and I maintained my loss over the holidays. Now I am back on my routine and the weight is started to drop again. I almost fell of the scale this morning I was so excited.

Some things I have started to do:
1. Measure or weigh anything that I am unsure of for portions. No more eyeballing it. That 1 cup of cereal was getting kind of big again! I am sure you all know I mean!
2. Variety! I got to change it up! I know myself and I get in a rut, say if I eat Special K for breakfast for 2 weeks straight. So, just keeping it exiting. I almost spit out my oatmeal last week... lol... so the new cereal this week has been great!
3. Eat what makes me happy! Every other time I have tried to eat healthy I think I need to have salad 24/7, or I need to have no carbs, or.... etc etc etc. This time, I am eating healthy, but finding foods I enjoy. Nothing wrong with a single girl, having toast and salad for supper if it works for her!! I don't have to fit into a cookie cutter diet plan that won't work for me.
4. Drink my water! Minimum of 8 cups/per day. My water bottles holds 3 cups and I fill it up and empty everyday! Water bottles with straws work wonders buddies! I challenge you to get one and see how much faster you drink your water!! (Starbucks Venti reuseable plastic one is my lifesaver)!
5. Be prepared!!! I can't be sucessful unless I have groceries! I have to stay on it, make lunches every night and have good choices at my finger tips. Always planning the next day! For example, I am not a morning person, every minute I can save helps. So, I measure out my cereal at night and put it right in the bowl, with the measure cup and spoon sitting there for me in the morning waiting to add my Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk!

By the way did you know that by using 1 cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk on your cereal instead of Skim Milk will save you 50 calores and quite a bit of sugar! Just saying! I love it and any time I can save a few calories to use else where I am ecstatic.

Goal:
I want to see that scale drop to 212 by next week Thursday and no matter what I will be positive. 212 in the first month of 2012! :)

214.8 lb Lost so far: 18.2 lb.    Still to go: 49.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thanks! I sure have learned in the last couple of months, that my our attitude is 100% of this battle. I know it's going to dip low and sometimes soar high, but my attitude is doing real good this January!

Way to go. Just breaking even after the holidays is an accomplishment in itself. Most people put on between 1 and 5 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year, permanently. A loss of 0.2 is way better than a gain of 5. Sounds like you've got your head in the right place. Stick with it, and be proud of your accomplishments.

Thanks Danzarth! Loved readying your bio and journal entries! You've come a long way too! We all have to keep celebrating the success! I am stubborn this time around and have tons of patience. The hard work always pays off on the scale, some times we just need the numbers to catch up to us!
