Readjusted my calorie limit to accommodate my lower weight. It was 1600 and now it is 1500. Went over a bit yesterday, but I will adjust I am sure. Tried the mashed cauliflower I got from Schwan's. It was okay, but probably won't buy it again. For some reason I like it steamed, but this tasted a bit strong and even with adding butter, it just didn't taste very good. First day of TOM and still down a few tenths of a pound, so I will call it a win. Doctor appointment on Monday and I have a list of things to go over with her. Hopefully I will get a few more things in order so I can get even healthier and happier on my journey. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I made mashed cauliflower last night, and gagged on it. LOL! Big ole bag of nope there! I'll go back to having it steamed with cheese sauce.

Sounds like you are getting things organized. Don't forget to write down your concerns to share with your doctor...if I don't, I always forget something....now, I sound like mom, heh? Hoping you have a great weekend.

I love it steamed. I eat a lot of broccoli Normandy which is broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. In fact, I eat them several times a week. But the mashed just tasted bitter and not at all similar to mashed potatoes. I think I will just stick to what I know I like.

I love steamed cauliflower or I put it in the food processor, grind it up like coarse rice.. One of my all time favourites

Thank you for mentioning mashed steamed cauliflower; I'm going to make some instead of mashed potatoes.

I've made cauliflower mash for my family and they couldn't tell it wasn't potato mash. I don't think ready made cauliflower mash from a store would taste good. Cauliflower tastes bitter if it's not cooked fresh. The secret is to steam it until it's really soft, drain it very well then stick it in a food processor until smooth, flavoured as normal with butter, maybe a little hot milk or cream, and salt and pepper.
