Well Buddies, I have crossed over to the "DARK SIDE"...

Did my research, bought my Keto sticks and been balancing my macros. I used to do Atkins in my youth and I know it works...I did have serious problems with eating disorders...you name 'em, I've had 'em...and for the past 5 years been advocating not eliminating any one food group or doing the deprivation mode that usually leads to bingeing, etc. I can fast easily as well, but really don't feel it's good to do it too long ...I know there are a lot of opinions out there and I respect everyone's view and love the fact that we share what works for all of us...

I have got to get these last bothersome pounds off. I have started an activity program that will strengthen my core and help with the back problems I was having. My xrays and MRI were not good...degenerative disc and crunched vertabrae...good news, I am a healthy candidate that exercise will improve my quality of life. I realize I have gotten weak and soft due to female repair done last summer. Recovery was good, but I took it too easy, and now I am paying for it by becoming very stiff and unflexible.

Thanks for listening...my keto sticks are turning after only two days...Wish me luck...Have a great day, IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

Atkins Induction is a basic keto diet, my own view is that Dr. Atkins recommendation to move into OWL after a couple of weeks was unnecessary, I split hairs with Dr. Atkins, but have major reservations about the current corporation, which is why I don't really associate with Atkins, but, Diet Revolution and New Diet Revolution are solid programs, just ditch the Atkins products and really pay attention and follow the plan when you get to Pre-Maintenance and Lifetime Maintenance and Atkins is pretty much in line with every other Keto diet. One big exception is Intermittent Fasting, and I really believe that's where the key lies, you adapt to a regular IF schedule and you're golden. Anyway, sorry to rant on your journal, good luck with your new direction!

Thanks for all the comments...BTW Phil220, I use no Atkins products, they were not available back in the day... and I would not spend my $$$ on them anyway...I use whole healthy food and fats...and its amazing how satisfied one is on less of the proper fuel...
