Ahh the Holidays. Decided to go with the flow for the sake of my family, and participate in a few social events this time of year. Last night we went to a wonderful party and sang Christmas Carols (My wifes passion). Had a lot of yummy snacks (Cookies, Cakes, Candy, Nuts, BEER!). Probably hit 3500 calories, which might be my spike day, if the next 3 days weren't all expected to be the same. About to go to champagne brunch with a large group of friends too in about an hour. There will be wonderful breakfast and lunch foods, which I plan on participating in! (And free flowing champagne). My writing 101 class would let me know that previous sentence and parens was all wrong! XD.

Tomorrow we are baking cookies with the kids for Santa, a bit of a tradition. Also my wife got a huge can of crabmeat. Probably make crab cakes, and some dips. Will check out the site for recipes on the healthier side.

And of course our Christmas feast. The kids want mashed potatoes, turkey, and a brocolli casserole I make with Cream Cheese, Cheese, Butter, Milk, and crushed up Ritz Crackers. Its delightful, but I am certain as far away from a healthy vegetable as you could get without frying it, lol.

Thanks King, as you have inspired me to live life. This journey we are on will not end because of the holidays/feasting this time, and for that I am grateful. BTW, I am fitting in my old jeans, and that makes me happy like a woman, lol, and I dont care! XD Who wants to sit home all sad like Tiny Tim, even if you do lose a lb or two that week.

I am grateful for realizing I am on a journey, but its OK to stop and smell the roses. Christmas is a time to enjoy life and family anyway.
I am grateful for this website and my buddies who help me out.
Also my Bahrain friends who make this island more like home, even though I am so far away.

PS, Weighing in everyday now to see how this week goes. Might stick with it.
