Okay. There's a surprise. It reminds me of the kind of swing Bill/Draglist sometimes gets. Put new batteries in the scale and it's still that weight.

This is the bottom of the carb/glucogen depletion phase. I'm not expecting to stay at this weight, though my weight shouldn't be falling when over the last two weeks my average daily calories has been 2800 to 2900 calories. I'll give this another couple of weeks to see what happens.

I'm okay with fat loss still at this point. Calipers don't seem to agree, but everything wavers. I am seeing and feeling a difference in ab definition. I may get that 6 pack yet.

Nice evening berry picking last night. Tika came back to me at one point and quickly jumped up on a log beside me looking away from me. She was alert and focused. She let out two barks (she sounds really aggressive, but she's a softy) and I stood and called out, asking her what it was. Something went crashing off into the bush. Could have been a moose, but being where I was, it was more likely a bear. Ah, summer.

Holy Cow! I want a drop like that. Nicely done. I am working on that 6 pack for my 46th birthday next April. That will be the best birthday present to myself, EVER!

Wow great loss! As for the berry picking, good thing you had your close companion with you!

Yep. I know there's a sow with cubs in that area. It could be disastrous without my little companion who just keeps chasing around the area sniffing things out. I carry an 8" blade hunting knife with me when I'm out there, but I'd hate to have to try to fend off a bear with it. It would not be pleasant.

Sounds like a wonderful wilderness moment; I'm missing that. My three grown kids and their significant others just spent the past week canoeing in the Boundary Waters region of No. Minn. I raised them camping and canoeing, so I'm so happy that they still do it and that they do it together. I couldn't go, because I'm working! Sigh. They had a great trip.

My gosh....I thought I needed new glasses! I wear the "cheaters" so I thought the cheap Walgreens glasses needed updating! Nice going!!!

You can maybe lose a few pounds if the bear takes a snack out of you. But if she goes for your underbelly, she'll bounce off these six pack abs. 😱 Need I say, " Be careful." Lol

Wooo! So, your food bill must be HUGE! I think with my sad metabolism my grocery bill is pennies next to yours😁😁 Say Whaaaat! I use to live in Alaska and I'd have more than a knife on me. No firearm picking berries in bear/mouse country. Brave crazy man, but that dog is hopefully a good alert system. I had a total babydoll dog that sounded like a killer. Cracked me up when she scared the painter (I told him not to enter before I got there)😁 good luck I hope your abbs pop into a 6 pack soon with that weight loss.

WOW - big loss - Tika is your "bear bell" which is what Minnesotans use when hiking...

I do have some .30 calibre bear spray. I've been thinking about it, Lizzy.

Whew, just don't get down wind of that stuff. Come to think of it, I should get some for waking. Ya never know.

That's not a brand name, Lizzy. It's a thunder stick.
