Cannot believe I worked so hard yesterday on diet and exercise only to find I gained 2 ozs. I do not understand. Hopefully my body will regroup and be better tomorrow.

Remember that weight fluctuates constantly over the course of the day for a variety of reasons. It could just be water weight. Also the benefits of the exercise you do on a certain day doesn't manifest itself until days later because what your actually doing when you exercise is giving yourself a metabolism boost that will help you burn fat at rest.
