salt intake gooooooood morning..i knew it was coming..spent one hour and fourty minutes out in 80 degree weather cutting an trimming grass yesterday...i was drinkin ice cold water and when i came in i was still drinkin water...when im tired i eat like 2 pigs...so i knew my weight would be up this morning..my appetite was for salt an candy mostly..i journaled it all...hated to...but thats the only way of being honest with myself and knowing why my weight spiked up..decided today would be a fast day..flush out all the salt and get back on track with what i should be doing..just irrates the crap outta me..but thats how i am when i cut grass...i even thouth of having more chicken broth before i went out to cut...but i dint..i did drink some earlier to help with the keto flu that i seem to be having some days..an it did help alot...since i ate alot of salt after coming in..guess another cup or two of broth would of been a good idea..il have to try that next time i cut..so todays fast day..lots of water, water, water..well im off to set the tea up..only have a 10 hour head start to my fast..least its that much...everyone have a great one..its just a bump in my journey and a learning experience...

Honesty is the only way. I feel for people on here who don't track or maybe track sporadically and are frustrated when they gain. I know some record it elsewhere but if you're not doing that one thing, recording everything (EVERY THING), how can you know what you're doing wrong and what to change?

Calculator shows that I should be taking in 2600 cal per day. I am taking in 1500 cal and not starving myself. Do I need to push my intake to get closer to 2600 or am I ok at 1500

I drink salt water first thing every morning. I find if I don't I get very weak.

EdwardPH. Me too. 2500 was my RDI. I use 2400 because I like the math better (on the 5:2) and I consider that the max but if you're getting by on less and not depriving yourself nutritionally, then why eat more just to get to a number. I've heard others on here say it's too high in pretty much every case anyway. I average much lower than 2500 but occasionally get there by accidentally eating a whole pizza or some other avoidable inevitability. Good luck.
