Good Morning! Off day today! and it is so cold out...about 49. Brrrrrr.

went to McAllisters Deli yesterday with my 18 year old. Well first i am at Krogers and he calls me. He says can he join me (which he never does) so i say okay. He fills the basket up with snacks cause he is hungry. My poor little salad and yogurt and stuff are buried. He is an eating machine right now and thinks he is starving all the time. It costs $70. We go home, unload and then go eat at McAllisters cause he wants a big sandwich. I brought my own salad dressing because the last time i went to eat out their "low cal" salad dressing was crazy high in cals. I had a grilled chicken salad with cranberries and slivered almonds. It was very good but not worth $7. He had the hugest sandwich i have ever seen and macaroni and cheese with bbq sauce on it. He has discovered that putting bbq sauce on mac and cheese is wonderful. He comes home, fills a bag up with snacks and takes it with him when he goes with his dad to help coach an 8th grade bball team.

Later that night, i am in bed reading and i hear shouting from the other room. He is yelling "OMG i have gained 7 lbs!" I mean really? He comes and tells me he is going on a diet! I said you are eating the $70 worth of food first or your paying me back! lol

He isnt even over-weight. I tried to explain about how the scale works and to calm down and weigh himself in the morning and quit eating like a crazy person. I told to him to raise his protein level and eat the snacks over time and not all in one day. Of course, this is the same child, that when doing P90X, went so crazy on the protein he had to go the doctor because he was in so much pain from eating too much protein. His kidneys couldnt handle it.

What a day! I am doing pretty good on my diet and am pleased with how things are going. I am pretty close to my goal, which i plan on lowering. I do not think i will be done losing all the fat at that weight but i will see.

141.0 lb Lost so far: 32.0 lb.    Still to go: 11.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Ha ha ha ha ......kids!!! Particularly "male" kids. They have no idea about health, dieting and nutrition LOL. Your sons behaviours so typical - I have seen young girls, with the barcode apps, scanning their crisps and chocolate as they are on a diet!!! Hopefully, with your knowledge and success, he will change his eating habits. Well done, by the way... Only 6 pounds to loose before you reach your goals. I would get there and leave it for a few days, before resetting your goal - bathe in the glory for a little :-)
