squeaked by with a decent loss.. but Ill be honest, I am still struggling to stay on track, log everything and now get into the gym. The gym bc I pulled a hamstring last week and my mojo was just straight up off. Im still working out in the morning but for some reason I cant get up as early as I want to. Im starting to think the underlying issue may be my son's upcoming wedding. Im stressing bc I secretly dont want to go (please dont judge me).I can tell my son kinda doesn't want me to go (its a long story) and my ex and in laws def dont want me to go.. but I would feel really sh!tty if I didn't go.. so Im not sure what to do.. Im damned if I do, damned if I dont. I think I just need to confront my son and ask him he wants me to go or not bc its in 2 weeks.. I just dont want to come across as "in your face" with him. Anyway, I think that this might be the "underlying" issue causing me stress and maybe some mild depression.. and that ef's everything up for me.. BUT, I am trying really hard to snap out of it.. even though I didn't follow my diet 100%, Im back on today bc Mondays is a good day to start fresh and even though I didn't wake up really early, I still got a morning work out in that I can say Im proud of.. Im trying to work up the energy to start my "double days" again. Its where M, T, TH and Fri I walk in the morning and lift at night but this year Imma do lift in the am and walk at night..This would be the 2nd year I do it.. Last year it was my "religion" and I just want to feel dedicated like that again.. I did get a comment at the gym and Im slowing "meeting" people by saying hello and good morning.. There is a regular group of guys I see in the morning and we are slowing making 'friends'. Its nice to lift with these guys then hear them talk about how they had to leave early one day bc their 2 yr old barfed in day care.. Totally loving the YMCA ..
GOALS for the week:
1. Log it all. all of it ,.. LOG LOG LOG
2. Wake up and get to gym before work M-F all this week.. Set alarm early, buy a rooster, what ever it takes
3. Meal plan and prep.. self explanatory
4. Quit making excuses.. bc Im full of them and sh!t lately. Time to suck it up
5. Love myself more..bc Im worth it.. and so are you !
Have a great day everyone.. swim suit season is around the corner and nothing is more motivating than that.. !!

The wedding thing sounds like a toughie - I hope you come to a comfortable decision one way or the other. Best wishes!

LOVE YOURSELF is right! You have done awesome and can continue to do so. I would nicely ask your son how he feels about your attendance at the ceremony. That way you can be present and not have to do the whole reception social piece.

Good loss Red, and nobody is judging you at all. You can do anything in the world you want.

I hope you have a good conversation with your son and things are better afterwards regardless of the decision about attending the wedding. I've found in the many times I've dreaded and pondered facing a situation that the dreading is always worse than the actual doing. Hope it's the same for you.

Call him. Nothing can really get resolved until you do and he may start the conversation first because he/they are thinking about options too. If you can't call him then I would opt for attending ceremony only.

If the conversation doesn't happen with your son, maybe you could just slip in the back at the wedding, be there to watch him get married, and then slip out without incident. And, as he might not see you- be sure to sign the guestbook so he at least knows you attended and cared enough to be there- yet not make him uncomfortable. (Twenty years from now, those darn kids will curse you for not showing up.) Since this is a once-in-a-lifetime event, I'd err on the side of attending but just be inconspicuous. It is a tough situation. As goes the old saying: you can't choose your relatives. Take care, dear, and don't stress. =)
