kingkeld's Journal, 20 October 2011

Dammit. I went back up over 90. I am today at 90.1, and I had promised myself never more 90's. Oh, well. I know it's not fat gain, I did great on my food choices yesterday, and the smart smart scale says that fat percentage is down from yesterday. So no worries. I think the culprit was the potato soup. Not because it's bad. But because I had SO DAMN MUCH of it that it's weighing me down! :) It was soooo good!

Today is my birthday. Turning 42. I firmly live by the rule that says that if you haven't grown up by the time you turn 40, there's no point in doing it. So there, I get to STILL act like a (smart) teenager! Wife bought me a couple of sweaters, and I love them (and her)! Super comfy, warm and good for both home and work. Yes, very practical, but I also got a gazillion-dollar bass guitar just a few weeks ago. I think it's fair to put that in the birthday-present pile. :) Still loving the bass, by the way.

The drummer in our band is out to buy new drums tomorrow. He asked if the band-über-nerd (that'd be me) would please come over and help setting it up. It's all digital, and if you're not knowing what you're doing, potentially tricky to get going. Since I love technology, electronics, music instruments and setting up sound, this is a MUST for me to do! :) I am really looking forward to it. So tomorrow, I'm gonna skip out early from work and go play all day and evening!

Wife asked me what I want for dinner tonight. It's cold and rainy here and we all feel like we want winter's food, so the choice will be beef and vegetable soup, with extra chili added to mine at the table. We're all losing weight, and I don't want to spoil it for anyone - and Wife makes the best soups in the world! Low cal or not, it's a treat! Then, adding my own chili it's an otherworldly experience.

I love chili? Not sure if I have mentioned that around here, but I am loving it and I am always on the lookout for a HOTTER and more fierce chili. First of all, because I think they're fun. Second, because the hotter chili have better flavor. They taste more "fruity", for lack of a better word. I really like 'em.

Anyways, got a few chores to do before I go to work, so my journal today will contain a smaller amount of babble than usual.

Have a great day, FatSecret friends! Life is good!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELD XXXXXXX Re the chilli, try the Dorset Naga (you can buy the seeds on amazon) It is alarmingly hot and has to be cut wearing gloves and protective eye wear!! Hubby eats mega hot stuff and tried a piece that was barely 5mm square and was in a very bad way. 2 pints of milk helped calm down his frightning colour and thankfully with time he was able to see and breathe normally. He decided to put them into some olive oil to make a wicked chilli oil. They are grown about 25 miles from me and until recently the hottest chiilies in the world. Hope you have a wicked day and enjoy being a teenager minus the acne!! Love the new photo...Birthday hugs XXX

Thanks guys! :) @Firelair - No cake, but it's only 9 am here. Things might change. I got calories to spare. I also have a few chocolates that might go down. We'll see. @Di Happy. The Dorset Naga is KILLER and I love it. Been there already, though I haven't done fresh ones. That's one of my next missions, to grow them myself. :)
