Samiegirlsmom's Journal, 04 February 2016

Due to my very low white cell count and my Hashimoto's disease, I have started on a Autoimmune Paleo diet. Hoping it helps to raise my white cells. I think most of the food I was eating was making me sick. So far, its going great, weight is dropping every day and the only thing I have done differently is change my food. Fingers crossed.
175.0 lb Lost so far: 18.6 lb.    Still to go: 25.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.4 lb a week

You are doing really great. I have a slow thyroid and on meds for it, However it is dropping again, but not low enough to up my meds. I get tired easy and sometimes wake up tired. I am taking b vitamins and started taking vitamin D a few times a weed right before I started my diet this time and I have not had to cut back on my calories as drastically as before.

Do you have a good endocrinologist for the Hashimoto's? So important to get regulated.

I've been to (4) Endocrinologists now. They can't put me on medication because it will make my heart race and I have a heart murmur. They said that my levels are fine and they don't see the need to medicate me when I am doing just fine on my own. Honestly, I hate medicating and I have found through the http://autoimmune-paleo.com/ website that several people have found ways to control it through proper nutrition. I am going to try that route.

Great news

Wow - that is great that you found the nutrition plan that can help. I had Graves Disease which was treated so in the end I am hypothyroid taking medication - but always a pain in the A$$ to regulate. Good luck with your plan.

I had the heart palpations also. It could be a imbalance of your hormones. Go to this website and watch all the videos, wwwbhrtvideos.com
