kingkeld's Journal, 10 October 2011

It's Monday, and this means going back to the usual routines. More journaling in the morning, then to work, hopefully help a bunch of people out there, maybe drop by the gym on the way home (depending on my energy level after work), then home, cook, eat, play some music, maybe watch a movie, then bed and then start all over again.

It's nice to have routines, but I also kinda hate that it's so predictable. Then again, we do need stability in life, don't we?

The fall has really come to Denmark. It's cold and rainy outside, and the winds are fierce. I do NOT want to go to work, do NOT want to go outside at all. I'd rather just sit here with my coffee all day. Oh, well, gotta make a living, right?

On the weight side, I gained again today, after Saturday's Indulgence Day. Oftentimes, it takes me a couple of days before the weight settles, and I start losing again. I am sure that'll happen tomorrow. This part of the deal always makes me panic a little bit - I start thinking stupid thoughts like "What if I don't lose again?", "Was it really a good idea to eat that much on Saturday" and so on. I'm sure many of you know the drill. However, I do see results from doing it, and I will keep going until I can clearly see that something needs to change. So far, nothing needs to change. :)

Well, my friends, I'll let you go for now. I think I want to play a little bass before going to work. It's a good morning for that.

Life is good.

It's on dark, windy, snowy or rainy mornings, when I feel sooooo grateful, I am not on the working grindstone anymore. I laid in bed this morning and watched my hubby get ready for work.. I could hear the wind blowing outside and I felt so sorry for him (he retires middle of next year). I know he has had enough - and this has got worse since I retired last year. I am now up and the sun is shining :-) it's still windy, but warm... Hope you enjoyed your bass playing before hopping on the grindstone and don't worry about the weight gain, I am sure it will start going downwards tomorrow.

Actually, I am loving my job so it's no grindstone to go do it - and so many REALLY cool things are happening right now - I hope to reveal some of it later on. :)

Your weather is reminding me to really appreciate the unseasonably warm and sunny days we've had here in the American Midwest for the past week. I didn't know you were in Denmark - We're hoping to visit there, Sweden and Norway in a few years...hopfully in the summer time as I hate cold weather;)

Keld, is the cost of living as high in Denmark as it is in Norway? I used to do a regular clinic in Oslo and could not believe the cost of every day items or eating out. I thought the UK was bad being twice as expensive as the US, but Norway...well $20 for a bottle of beer...glad I don't drink! (so is our company accountant...lol) ps...trying to get hubby to write down a good curry recipe for you, how hot do you like it? He does an incredibly nice dish which is low fat, lemon and corriander (celantro?) chicken, great as a side, main or starter....yummy XX
