First day of OWL, I haven't had breakfast yet but I plan to have carrots with my lunch. Lets see how day 1 goes. I am only 4 pounds away from my 2nd mini-goal and last night a bought a walking workout DVD that goes up to 4 miles. This will come in handy when taking long outside walks won't work. Didn't get to buy my Wii fit this month but that is something I really want next month :)

Buffy, someone posted the Carb ladder on a post where they were asking about OWL and it said carrots came in pre maintenance... with the more starchy veggies... so would it be bad then to have them now? Others have said that adding in higher veggies fist is a good plan...

Raw carrots have a much lower GI (Glycemic index) than cooked carrots. I didn't ask if you were having them raw or cooked. I just figured it was something you really wanted and figured you were just going to have a little anyway. I've been eating small amounts of raw carrots right along.

Well, I ended up having a serving of raw carrots at lunch then my boyfriend made dinner so a had a few cooked ones then. I won't have any more until Wednesday and see how this week goes :)

:) Thank you, I'm pretty excited. By having my goals at 10 pounds each it seems a lot more achievable. Some days it seems like the pounds melt off :)
