Still waiting for things to come back in line after being sick. I went for a short walk yesterday and will try again today. Surprising how you can get tuckered out quickly while getting better. This too shall pass. I thought I was going to see if my son's gf wanted to go walking last night but after the short walk, I need to get my endurance back up before we do.

Only one more hurdle this week diet-wise: New Year's eve dinner out and a show with my mom. Shouldn't be bad - prime rib, there should be salad and veg. As long as I skip the dessert and rolls, I should be able to stay on plan.

I do need to get to the grocery sometime this week and see what I can add for options. I'm ok for a few days there. I have eggs, cheese, broccoli, ham...mmmm.

Goal for today is to get back outside and try for at least 2 short walks. Yesterday had a hard deadline and was nervous to take time away during the day in case I didn't get it done. Today has work but the deadline is more fluid so I'll try to get out in the am and in the pm for at least the once around the neighborhood. Got almost 4000 steps yesterday. Short of goal but better than not doing it at all...

We're all in recuperation for one reason or another...do your best today to sneak a little more good stuff in than you did yesterday. Have a good day buddies!

The hubs will maybe have a potato of some kind. He likes mashed Which I am not doing mashed just for him,, may boil one for him, and he can smother it in butter ,, sounds yummy huh ? but I will pass on the potato .
