Well well!

After a handful of Thanksgiving celebrations (divorce has a way of creating more than one Thanksgiving feast), I was totally afraid of getting on that scale. I feel like I gained 100 pounds.

But I picked Hump Day to do it since I feel I am over this hump and sliding back down to normal. Well, it was not a good thing but the focus is back and I will get there.

I was curious as to how you all did during this past two weeks?

How do you think you did?
215.8 lb Lost so far: 53.2 lb.    Still to go: 50.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 2.7 lb a week

Glad you are getting back quickly. Me? stayed within my normal up and down 2 pounds so all good averaged out to my 128 over a few days. Felt like I ate too much thanks to slivers of the 3 grandson's homemade pies, all different.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back with the program. You know you can do it cause you've done it before!

I did terribly, indulging in pies, stuffing, gravy and cocktails (along with all of the other things.) I did manage to exercise, though, and even though I felt totally inflamed and had insomnia (that’s the alcohol talking) I did not gain too much. I avoided the scale till this morning and found out that I’m back to where I was pre-Thanksgiving. I had intended on taking a “thanksgiving break” but was not prepared for how yuckky it made me feel.

I gained about 3.5 lbs over two Thanksgiving dinners. One I really enjoyed with some beer and several desserts, the second I enjoyed with a little better control. A couple low calorie days before and after helped and now I'm almost down to where I was before. The good thing about stuff like this is that if we cut back and are strict right after it's just a temporary thing. You can get the gain off fairly quickly!

I managed to stay the same but I also made low carb pumpkin pie and LC cheesecake, made mashed turnips in stead of mashed potatoes, dressed up baked squash instead of sweet potatoes, broccoli instead of green beans. Made some smaller helpings of the carby stuff for the kids but mostly I tried to stay on plan. I was also fortunate that I did not have to leave my own table and have meals elsewhere. In that department things are complicated enough and not going home to Mom's until Sis moves out with her 4 kids. plus it is 1400+ miles.

You can't skip that treat Wholefoodnut, and keep it up. How did it go skywhite? I am less dusty today rhontique thanks. Revaudrey, you can't beat yourself up for enjoying this time of year. Draglist, you have an incredible way of living your life. Way to go. You are almost there jmb3450. Time to really hit the weights and keep that metabolism going. That's one thing that I have been slacking on but I know it's a must. Pterath, low carb pumpkin pie? How is that possible? Good going Keith, I commend you. SO LET'S CONTINUE THE JOURNEY SHALL WE?

I ate and ate and ate, and drank some wine. The important thing is being back on track!

Since we are pretty much friends here, and EDC1972 brought up something near and dear to my heart palate, what's the favored wine varietal? Weigh in today. Ate healthier and didn't workout (business has me in the car most of the day lately) so I am hoping for ANY KIND OF LOSS!! Wish me look today. :)
