222.2, I am getting so close to my next 10 pound loss goal. I am now down 18 pounds. My boyfriend is coming to visit (from out of town) today. He hasn't seen me since the middle of August. I'm excited for him to see how much I've lost so far.

A few of my friends from work were dieting with me. The one that really got me started on this has kind of gotten off the diet. It's kind of scary, because I feel like this really is something I can do for the rest of my life, but if others are giving up....it just scares me.

Tomorrow is going to be slightly hard for me. We are going to soccer to start with and I'm always tempted (although its been getting easier) to eat the chili and nachos. After soccer we are going to a union picnic, then to end the day we are going to my sisters birthday dinner at a PIZZA place! Any suggestions????
222.2 lb Lost so far: 16.8 lb.    Still to go: 92.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You are REALLY doing WELL!! I understand how hard it can be, especially when you feel totally alone in your effort. a couple years ago i dieted and had lost about 50lbs, but I allowed myself to eat off diet, during the weekend I tried to limit that to once but when I wasnt denieing myself, I wasnt really wanting it so much. along with healthier choices we have to learn MODERATION 1 small slice of pizza, and plenty of salid, LOTS of water. good luck to you..

Congrats to you! I too understand watching my friends leave me on the side road alone. Thats okay. Remember you are doing this for yourself. Mantra. Sure its easy to give up and be one of the crowd but your doing great. Its not easy losing that much weight. Keep going. So very proud (and jeolous :) of you. I agree with ronsmom. Moderation and lots of salad. Also like her I give myself one meal to cheat with. I can eat anything I want. It does help feel like I am not denying myself. Unlike her I cant do a whole day, to tempting to stay off plan, but many can. One meal works for me. Youve been eating good for a bit now and you will be amazed how the old foods dont taste as good as we remember. Might work out that way with the nachos? lol Or eat a couple and give the rest away. Your a strong woman to have made it this far. I have no doubt you will do well. Sounds like a good time, have fun!!

Today went great! It actually started last night when I first saw my boyfriend. He was amazed at how much I had lost and said that I look great! :) This morning at the snack bar all I got was coffee (and I knew to bring my own sugar free creamer). After that we went to the picnic and I knew to bring my own salad and dressing. I had pork ribs, one hot dog, and a turkey burger. A little more than I'm used to eating now, but I passed on all the pasta and chips. I also passed on the cake. I took my sister with me to the picnic (her dinner was cancelled); and we sang happy birthday. I passed out the cake to everyone and I wasn't even tempted, it didn't look good. My co-worker was there (that is kindof still on the diet); and I think she had two pieces. I know that it can be "okay" to have something everyone once in awhile, but if I'm not tempted or I can say no then I should stick with that. At the soccer games I will allow myself one or two chips with cheese or chili, but the last time I did that they didn't even taste good. I would rather have my fudgescicles. Have a great weekend, and thanks for the support! :)

Good for you. So glad you had a good time. Your doing great. I bet your boyfriend is very proud of you. I hope you get to spend a good amount of quality time with him. Funny how the way we look at food changes. How the taste and even the smell becomes obnoxious and what was once satisfying isnt any more. Have a great weekend you deserve it!
