People have got to learn: if they don't have cookies in the cookie jar, they can't eat cookies. ~ Suze Orman

Ok, not gonna lie. My very first thought after reading this is "not necessarily" lol. I know myself and when an idea is fixed in my head (and I entertain it instead of quashing it), the fact that there is no cookies in the cookie jar is not going to stop me. I will make an excuse to go out and while I'm out... I'll stop and pick one up...a small package.

It's very easy to say "don't." Unless your desire to stay on track is bigger than your desire for the "want," staying on plan gets immeasurably harder. That being said, I don't bother having cookies in my cookie jar if I'm TRYING to stay on task. I do not have the moderation gene. I have proven time and again that it's a REALLY bad idea to have things in the house that I know are an issue. If it's not here, I typically can convince myself I don't really want it when a fleeting thought comes dancing through. It's much more mind for me than body. I've got to want the weight loss more than I want the sugar rush.

Enjoy your day. I hope your mind and body play nice together today, buddies...

I just had this discussion this morning with my long time friend and workout buddy . I didn't realize what an addiction she has to sugar . I am encouraging her to do the 21 day sugar Detox (21DSD) . I loaned her the book to read and just got it back from her because I want to refresh before Jan 1 and she informed she didn't really read it she just glanced through it,, after having it for 2 months . As I discussed with her sugar is like a drug,, you can truly be addicted to it ,, and until you detox your body from it,, your not going to ever be able to kick the habit . She agreed . Now lets see of she takes action,, some ppl don't want to kick the habit. we will see .

I agree it's easier to stay away from temptation if it's not in the house. I'm usually too lazy to go out and get something.
