bbosch30's Journal, 20 October 2015

Well, at least today it went down... I'm still 2 kg above where I should be, or want to be, or was, depending on how you look at it. Its just getting frustrating because the weight was gone, and it just randomly came back and now won't leave. Its been three months now so its not just a little minor blip.

Increased my fasting hours to do 20 hr fasting, net carbs are in check, I've cut down significantly on dairy, still eat some nuts but in limited quantities, and keeping my protein no higher than 60g per day (but most days at 53). True there is no exercise, but that is why I keep my calories fairly low - though it is probably higher than I track, which is why I leave a decent buffer for any error. And to be fair, I'm not doing anything differently than when I was at 52 kilos.

carb cycling didn't help - in fact I think it may have made it worse. I'm just trying to stay positive and keep going.

You are BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't imagine you needing to lose another bit. Life is too short to live like this! Go live and enjoy it! I am type 1 diabetic and have to count carbs and dose insulin and I HATE it as insulin makes you hungry. Ive gained 50 pounds since being diagnosed as type 1. Please don't waste another second counting every bite. You are a beautiful and obviously smart girl, go enjoy your life!

that seems a little high for protein,, I am no expert by any means ,, but to much protein will work against your Fat loss. Maybe someone will chime in and explain . But depending on your weight like I said that seems a little high . Just saying something to look into .

@Katestockard-wood - Thank you for such a sweet message. Don't you worry, I do enjoy my life, but I also like to be in control of my food. It gives me a sense of calm :) I'm weird that way. I'm sorry to hear you are diabetic & the impact it has made on your life - thats really horrible. How are you managing it? @HafPaf - I know I am, but I was CLOSER! hahahaha... Thanks for the positive vibes! We'll get there for sure! Rome wasn't built in a day :) @Tamarah - Did a couple of checks and for my height/weight/activity level I'm at the recommended protein level. It actually used to be a lot higher and Ive cut down! bye bye quest bars :(
