Induction Day 8. Hey Fat! Here we go with another round. We might have tied yesterday, but today's a new day, and you're going down!

Week 1 of Induction done! Tally - 4 pounds in 7 days. Overall not a bad showing, but I'm greedy and wanted more of a loss. It would be noteworthy had I been on the Biggest Loser, which incidentally, I can't wait for the new season to start! I suppose there is always week 2.

Question - at what rate can one expect to keep losing with 17 pounds left to lose? Intuitively, my inner personal trainer/ nutritionist knows that a 1-2 pound per week loss is best, but the rest of me wants to keep up the 4 lb/week loss. I lost 4 in the first week, only time will tell what the 2nd week of Induction will bring. Is it reasonable to expect another 4 pounds by next Wednesday or is it going to slow down? What is your experience for those of you inside the 20?

Yesterday's veggie count was off the charts! 20.43 net carbs with 17.29 in foundation veggies! I know the book says you should have 12-15, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing if I go over in veggies as long as the total is not over the 20nc count. I don't think anyone's ever gotten fat because they ate too many veggies. I bet you are wondering how I did that? I made it a mission to only eat protein, veggies and some added fat here and there. And I mean a lot of veggies! I think I will keep this up. It was a good day, wasn't really ever hungry, and got in my 1500 calories.

Make it a great Hump Day!
