billtech66's Journal, 12 September 2015

I have a picture as my computer desktop, of Tiger Laying on my lap, squinting at me, totally relaxed, sprawled out, with with his head resting on and one possessive paw resting out on my leg.
Looking at him tonight as I shut down the computer, I thought that: Tiger didn't want to go off and die alone. He wanted to be with me when he died, and he WAS, he was right where he wanted to be.

I thought of this while I was feeling so sad that he was trying to crawl up to me when he died.
He was okay. He knew I was right there, close to him, and he was almost touching my feet.
and now I realize that this is what he wanted. To be close to me when he died, not off alone like most felines do.
It has been heart rending to me, that he didn't make it all the way up to me, and wake me...
I'm hoping I'll remember this :)
