So the heart rate monitor on my Garmin stopped working. Not sure what the deal is, one day it was working the next day it wasn't. Tried putting a new battery in but it didn't help. Called Garmin and after 5 minutes of troubleshooting, they decided it was broken. They're shipping out a new one immediately. I don't even have to send the old one back. They're stuff is expensive, but I suppose having that level of support is pretty nifty.

That's good to hear. I do know that in reading through the instructions looking for something else entirely I happened upon the info that if you DO change the battery on the strap that you need to be sure to take the old battery out, and then leave it empty for a few minutes before putting a new one in, so it can reset, otherwise I guess it does fry the band if you just stick a new battery in. You'd think they would make something like that more obvious but if they are going to replace it, that's great!
