Herbie's Journal, 04 September 2007

You'd think that since I was so close to my goal weight that I'd really buckle down and try to reach the goal. Unfortunately, I went out for Mexican food last night and had a beer and the day before had a sandwich (on bread) and am at a steady weight. The good news is that my daily commute is now a 15 minute walk to work, so I'm definitely getting my 30 min walk in every day. Am back on track food-wise and hope to have my truimphant update soon.
137.0 lb Lost so far: 33.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I hate to resort to football anaologies, but sometimes the last 10 yards are the toughest mentally. It's easy to let up when the goal is almost within grasp. I have no doubt that you will hit your goal very soon!

You are doing great. A carefree dinner every once in a while won't hurt you. You will be there before you know it.

I can relate to what you're going through! Congrats on keeping it steady, though. That's what we're after once we reach our goals, right? And you're so close - I'm sure you'll reach it before the leaves start changing colors. Good luck!
