Fatsecret doesn't have any faith in me! Every time I go to weigh in it auto-fills the 'current weight' two pounds higher than I was the previous week. Well eff you too then FS.

Down another pound, but pretty sore from a bike ride last night so I suspect I've got some extra water I'm holding on to also. Either way, I won't complain. I am closer to 190 than I am to 200 so that's a win for me! Managed a nine pound loss in the last five weeks, even with a week of vacation and fourth of July cookouts. I am happy with my July progress.

Kiddo is making progress, I think. His fever finally broke yesterday around noon and I managed to keep it down. It hasn't returned today. However, the reddened area is bigger than it was yesterday. I'm glad I scheduled a recheck for this morning. I want him to be better so we can go to the zoo tomorrow, but I'm afraid he still won't be good to go. Super disappointed if we don't go because I feel like I'm running out of summer at record speed. With every other weekend already sold to clinicals I only have one more weekend at home (after this one) with the kids on summer vacation. I suppose their return to school doesn't mean that we can never do anything again, but I'm still bummed. Well, at least once they go back to school I'll be able to get to the gym or go on bike rides whenever my heart desires.

So anywho, I think I'm going to bump my calorie intake up for a few days, maybe today through Sunday. Some days I get 1000+ calorie deficits, and I just feel like eventually I'm going to plateau if I keep on. I will shoot for five hundred calorie deficits, then go back to normal on Monday. It will be interesting to see what the scale has to say about it on Friday.

I think a 1 pound loss is great! You sound as though you are really in control ☺ Best make the extra calories healthy though. When I've given myself sweet 'treats', I find my blood sugar levels go crazy, up and down, and I wish I hadn't done it. So am avoiding foods that used to be my favourites, simply because I don't want those effects!

Thanks everyone! Heidi, I never use junk to bump up the calories. But it really is hard to get more calories without adding a ton more carbs!
