I hate to record this gain, but it is is what it is. I've been battling with a few extra pounds this last week or so. I had my race on Sunday so obviously a good way to start out the week running 9.3 miles, then had a good swim on Tues, but I haven't been able to work out since. I normally workout 4 days a week so the 2 has felt like nothing! It's not my choice, just an overly busy week with a ton of commitments. I am gone pretty much all this weekend as well. It's gorgeous weather outside today- 72 degrees! Hopefully I can run tomorrow afternoon. That should work out fine. I hope to turn the gain back down but it will be hard this week too as my b-day is coming up along with another 3 nights of plans in a row involving eating! I'm happy where I'm at though and feel really good. Just want to get back to 135 where the 2 lbs makes a big difference in how I feel. Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend.

Hi there, fellow runner! Don't let those few pounds get you down. Our weight fluctuates wildly every day! Just remember that a pound of fat sticks around when you eat 3,500 more calories than your body needs...and that's really a whole lot of extra calories. So the weight you've put on is likely water retention in your muscles or its hormones! I'm no expert though...just don't let it get you down! :)

Happy early birthday! As for the eating challenges this week - that's why we run, right? :) I hated to record my gain, too, especially after all my buddies were congratulating me on a new low. But as you say, it is what it is! It's just a number. Enjoy your wonderful week!
