eh, I still have my coffee. I'm never giving that up lol. I just drink the one cup and then I move on to water. I put raw sugar in the coffee and use my own home made creamer.

IF really works and once you get used to it not too difficult to keep doing. Nice job on your loss, keep it up! I like my coffee too. A lot of the time I just drink it black now.

Are you folks on some specific diet? If it is working for you would you share it with me? Thanks.

Calicat60, I am not on any specific diet. I count my calories and eat clean healthy foods. NO fat free. NO light. Just real food. I aim for 80-90g of protein a day and limit my starchy carbs. NO whole wheat bread...I eat sprouted grain bread but only 2-3 slices a week. If I want something sweet, I only have it once a week. One thing that has really worked for me over the past 3 weeks is finding out my TDEE (Total Daily Energy Exenditure). This is what your body burns in a 24 hr period between resting AND exercise. You can google TDEE to find a calculator to figure yours out. Once you know your TDEE, you subtract 10-20% from that (depending on how fast you want to lose....20% being the fastest of 1lb per week) and the answer you get from that is what you should consume daily to lose weight. I also found that by zig zagging my calories (diff amt each day but staying under the max) really helps if you hit a plateau. So my TDEE is 1858. If I want to maintain my weight, I should eat 1859 calories a day. But I want to lose, so I consume anywhere between 1390 and 1780. I only do 1390 2x a week but not back to back. And I only do 1780 once a week. Every other day is in between.

*typo...I found out about TDEE on April 29, so it's been 5 weeks and I've lost 5lbs.

Calicat60 I just started with IF and i wanted to test it both ways... this first month I am eating what i want staying on a paleo diet to a point, but i do have sweets and ice cream, but try to eat about 100 g of protein a day. I am losing weight eating the way i do this month. Next month I will be doing a strict paleo diet and see how the weight comes off. I have also added heavy weight lifting to my exercises.

I just realized I drink over 650 cal every morning. All from my coffee. I don't know if I'm ready to cut down a little!

the creamer and sugar add up. I drink about 12oz of coffee but I make my my own creamer. I heat up 1 cup of raw sugar and 2c of organic whole milk til it's reduced to about half (20 mins) Then I add 1tbsp of organic butter. Then I add that to a skinny neck jar (old Apple Cider vinegar jar). Then I add 2c of organic half and half and 1-2tsp of flavor (maple or vanilla extract). I put about 10oz of coffee in my cup, 2-3 tbsp of creamer (sometimes more lol), and then an additional 1.5 tbsp of sugar to my cup, so my coffee is around 210 calories give or take.
