Lhill928's Journal, 18 May 2015

I have completed round 1 of 21 day fix. Why round 1, because as of now, I haven't seen any results. I stayed the same as before I made all these life changes and am feeling "broken". All the things others say you shouldn't do while trying to lose weight, I don't or already didn't do. So, I will take my measurements today when I get home and keep doing what I been doing, because I honestly don't see any more changes to make. If anyone has suggestions, I'm ALL ears, eyes, and everything else lol.

If you didn't lose weight on 3 weeks of 21 day fix, something is wonky. It's about 1200 calories a day, plus exercise. I would take measurements. Have you had your thyroid checked. I would think you should have lose a few pounds. Did you follow the program correctly? Did you drink your water? Are you on any medications which might mask your loss? Sickness? Inflammation? Hormones? If you lost inches, then you are doing something right. The scale is only one way to measure weight loss. If it makes you feel good, then keep going. Eating healthy and exercise is always a good thing.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did take measurements after I posted this. I lost 2 inches, still not a significant loss, but I guess its something and my recommended calorie intake was around 2200, which was waaay too high to me, so I used the one two below that. I will admit that I didn't get enough protein in and it was hard to control my carbs, did you know EVERYTHING is a carb? But I did, with very few days that I went over the carb intake for that range. I am planning to do again beginning June 1, but I am not sure if I try for my real intake or keep it within the mid range. I do drink water, most days only water, but it seems I am at a plateau, so I need a "jump start" so to speak. I have an appointment with my doctor on Saturday and I am going to ask her about all the things you mentioned. Thanks again.

My doctor made me switch to a more cholesterol-lowering diet last Thursday, so I threw out all the red meat and cheese in my fridge and replaced them with fish and beans. I've lost 5 pounds in one week just from the substitution. And really, Suzi161 is correct: you can't go over 1200 calories/day or you just won't lose weight.

I had to shake things up a bit to see any loss (.5#)...I can't eat the RDI suggested in FS as I would indeed gain weight. However, 2" is a big loss so you have something to celebrate. Rejoice over inches loss!!!!
