good morning! Im tired! Worked till midnight last night and didnt sleep long enough. at least im off for 2 days. In doing good on my calorie intake..Im getting better at staying close to my 1000 calories per day. these next two days im off i am going to figure out how to increase my protein intake (im not a big fan of a lot of meat or cooking! lol) however i will figure out what i need to do. The carbs i am eating, however, are not from too many processed items. Ive bought real whole wheat bread and im going to look into whey protein. Here is my protein list: seafood, white meat chicken(no skin), milk(skim), cheese, yogurt, egg, beans and soy! Dont know about soy!

Protein list lookS good - have you thought about fish... It's low in calories and fat but high in protein. If you lay it on a large square of tin foil, sprinkle lemon juice, light soy sauce, ginger and some Chinese spice like 5 spice powder or star anise on top. Then bring the tin foil together and make an envelope and put in oven for about 20 minutes. The tin foil envelop allows the fish to steam in all the yummy stuff you put on and stays moist. Moroccan or Indian spices are also good to cook it in. You can also put thinly sliced veg like peppers, onions or sun dried tomatoe, on top of the fish and the flavours permeate into it. Chicken breasts are good cooked like this too - the tin foil envelope keeps the chicken from drying out. Ooooh as you like seafood you could unwrap the fish a couple of minutes before they finish cooking and sprinkle some prawns on top, re-wrap and cook for another 2 minutes. A bit of low fat cheddar is also good sprinkled on top of fish or chicken (same method as adding the prawns). It's a quick, tasty method of cooking. You could also add some part cooked (I do them in the microwave for a couple of minutes) carrots or root vegies and roast them. Or zucchini, peppers, onions etc, can be roast at the same time as they will take about 20 minutes to cook - one pot cooking :-)..... If you have a big chicken breast it may take half hour -

Messed up work schedules can be a challenge. It's hard to switch from processed foods - they are so ingrained in our culture. Each time you do manage to make the change, you will do better. Your buddie, Skinnyfuture was making me hungry with her comment, but it all sounds like good advice.
