Asarver's Journal, 29 March 2015

During my run last week my 5K time was 29:48!!! Officially under a half an hour. Now, I don't know if it counts because it wasn't race day, but I did run 3.10 miles in under 30 minutes. Very excited!

As far as food goes this week, I've kind of been doing bad. I have almost no motivation to not eat more than I should, and have been making poor food choices. I've also been really tired which makes my motivation completely disappear. Hopefully this week will be better.

I don't have much else to report on, but hope everyone has a splendid week!

Perhaps you feel tired because you are not fueling your body well for your amazing runs?

Great job! That time counts because you know you did it. I'm doing a 2 mile cancer walk in a couple of weeks, and was going to run the 2 miles, but we're pushing my dad so I can't push the wheel chair while running. :) My goal is to do at least 2 other events either 5Ks or something and I think being under 30 mins is awesome! Hopefully I'll get there someday too. :)

That's awesome! You should definitely do some events, they are very rewarding! You can definitely get there :)

Maybe you could think about how hard it is and how far you would have to run to burn the extra calories that you are tempted to eat. Try "making yourself" run that extra time when you eat those extra calories and eventually you will probably think twice, or you will be able to enjoy the calories because you burn them off. I don't have the ability to run at all so I have to be aware of every bite. That is why Fat Secret helps me. If I have to write it down, I am better at watching my calories and planning what I eat for the day.
