Okay, how did I gain wt after eating less than 1,000 Kcal???

Oh well, going in the right direction as far as eating and consciousness. This morning's wt just represents past history and I need to keep thinking of the future.
207.0 lb Lost so far: 9.2 lb.    Still to go: 7.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 18 February 2015:
966 kcal Fat: 47.41g | Prot: 31.77g | Carb: 86.38g.   Breakfast: Sugar in the Raw Natural Cane Turbinado Sugar, Butter, Schwebel's Selects 100% Whole Wheat Bread, Black Tea, Whole Milk. Lunch: Tillamook Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Egg. Dinner: Daniele Genoa Salame, Red Table Wine, Butter, Broccoli. more...
gaining 4.2 lb a week

It would most likely be a shift in water weight which could be from: too much sodium, stress, exercise, medications, inflammation, hormones, sickness, etc, and many more. Our bodies are made up of 60% water so many factors make the scale go up and down.

I am not an expert but sometimes when I don't eat enough calories I too show a gain. I believe it has something to do with our bodies going into a "self-preservation" mode because it thinks we are starving. Kind of ironic as no one would ever think that I had ever starved myself:) If I stay close to what is recommended and drink plenty of fluids, the scales are usually moving in my favor. Being aware of our eating habits and choices is what makes our futures sunny and bright. I, too, tend to panic with dread of failure when the scale goes against me. Suzi161 has an excellent point.
