Almost a lb lost since last week. Moving slowly, but at least it's moving, right? Any lb gone is a lb I don't have to carry around anymore, weighing me down like an anchor.

Just finished my last walk of the week and it really is getting easier. I may bump it up a bit next week. I still get some aches and pains, but with the exception of the messed up hip I feel most of those are due to the excess weight I'm carrying. When I weigh less it will be less wear and tear on my body to get exercise.

My fridge is loaded with good produce now, for cooking and for smoothies. I was reluctant to take up smoothies, but it has become such a great way for me to get in more greens. My husband loved the recent "roasted radishes" recipe, and we have learned it only takes about a month to grow them....so adding radishes to our spring garden. It's about time to start planning out the garden space and getting some pepper and tomato seedlings started indoors too.
225.4 lb Lost so far: 7.6 lb.    Still to go: 55.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.9 lb a week

Oh, I'm jealous to start thinking about spring planting. We've still got another 3 months of frozen here. But gardening is great exercise and will produce lots of yummy healthy food!

Woperchild, we usually plant mid-March here. Occasionally a late frost will sneak in and wipe us out, but usually we do okay. The down side is by late June it's too hot for anything to produce....but if we can keep the plants alive they start producing again in Sep/Oct. We don't have a lot of space, but I love growing my own stuff...green beans, peppers, tomatoes, watermelons, and now trying radishes.
