skinnygirl130's Journal, 04 July 2011

This last weekend I ate terrible. I ran out of things to cook at home and did not get time to get a menu together and go to the store. We had every kind of fast food you can think of this weekend and I am so sick of it.
I went to the store last night and got healthy dinner's and snacks. I should be good for a week and a half.
I am sure I gained five pounds over the weekend.
Well, I am starting a new challange today. Biking 100 miles a week. I am really excited about this because it is time to switch things up a bit and this gets me bcak on my staionary bike. Plus I have not worked out before breakfast in a long time and the bike was always a gentle but effective way to burn calories first thing in the morning. I am not a morning person and could never do anything like say, " Insanity" first thing after I wake up. Biking gives me a good workout without having to be running a round and trying to catch my breath. I have a hard ebough time catching my breath when I am jard awake by my kids.
Starting this week I am back on track. Morning workouts, healthy eating, and my favorite yoga!!
Hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July!!!

I'm doing the 100 miles a week with you. My goal is 50 because with work, kids and dinner, I can only ride at night. I'll try my best, though. I've got to say that you sound exactly like me. I have every excuse on the planet why I haven't lost that 5 pounds in two years and now it's grown to 11. It should be so easy because I have so little to loose and yet I can't do it. Well, I started logging all my food no matter how embarrassing and I was really fooling myself. Problem is, I love to eat! Someone posted on my journal, "Will Power." it's something that's hard to tap into for me, but I'm going to use it during this challenge. In fact, I'm going for a ride now while it's cool before the party starts - and no sweets today. Cheers!

Good luck with the challenge!!! I am so not a morning person either. I love sleeping in...and I hate getting up at 6:20 for work. You will recover from the weekend :) I know you can.

Don't worry, everybody tends to indulge a little on holidays. With all the running around and the fast pace, it's hard to keep it under control. But an indulgent weekend won't make or break us, we just need to get right back on course! You can do it. Good idea with the challenge. I haven't joined any official challenges because I always forget to keep up with them, but I am going to try to increase my workouts this week, either in length or intensity, to get that muscle tone I want SO bad. Have a great day, I know you will do great! :)
