Back where I was before my re-feed day.

My big computer died yesterday. I was terrified. It has all the music on it that I use for teaching. I hadn't backed it up in about 6 months. $90 and a new power supply. I'm overjoyed. Backing up now!

Newegg has some fab deals on drives right now, I've been looking at some hybrids. The new cloud drives like Google drive and Microsoft. One drive will auto back up for you too. Just sayin..... And great loss!

$80 bucks for a 1 TB portalbe external? That would fit in my safety deposit box. I'd never fill it up. (Remember when they told us nobody would ever need more than a 500 MB drive?) A friend of mine still has an original 8086 in working order. It works off 2 - 7 1/4??? inch floppy disks... that were actually floppy. Green and black monitor. Thanks for the tip Nicholaix?

lol I just threw away boxes of floppys and floppy disks. It amazes me the stuff I have squirreled away. I still tell my kids scary stories of the days before there was no internet.....lol. You are cooking right along losing weight. It motivates me to see you all being so successful. i am trying to up my calories for few days to push my running up a notch. It really makes a difference.

I've got a 2 TB external storage for mine - still sitting here in the box. Maybe I should learn from your experience?

Buffy. That reminds me of a song by a band called The Boomers. The Art of Living. It goes: --- Once in a while I'll see somebody 'bout to make the same mistakes as me --- So I'll try to do something good, and save them a little grief --- I'll say 'Hey you, get away from that thing, it's about as hot as hell --- They'll smile and thank me very much and then, go and touch it for themselves. --- Please learn from my experience.

I remember when the Atari 1200 came out, 16K memory. The box said "What are you going to do with all that memory?" Lol. Glad your computer was a relatively simple fix and most importantly no loss of data.
