2 weeks ago blood glucose tested out at ~500 . trigs were in thousands.restarted modified Atkins 3 days ago. Last year, the MA diet controlled blood gluc w/o any meds so I'm confident i can control again. but i need to exercise regularly again AND eat more often or liver will continue pumping out glucogen,.

yesterday was first 100% MA diet followed day as we finally stocked w/ proper food. blood gluc @ 190 fasting 11hrs. insulin bumped up to 6 units last night. Losing 3-4 pounds/day<<not good!

and so ends my 4 mo. experiment at eating typical US diet, that resulted in dangerously high levels of test markers. i also showed a small 'insignificant blip' on my December brain MRI. Radiology oncology thought it significant but my nueruo-onc says it nothing. I choose to eliminate the blip!

So, I start again my own test, Mod. Atkins & exercise to control diabesity AND brain tumor.

That is great. I haven't heard of the MA diet, but will look into it. A few years ago I started having to watch glucose levels and am able to control this with diet, lost some weight too. Now trying to adhere to under 50g CARBS per day in order to use the cholesterol stored in the liver and lower those readings as well. My goal is avoiding daily medication. I have been on Blood Pressure med for 17 years, but am trying to eliminate that too. Interestingly, or I should say incredibly, chiropractic adjustment to the T12 has been able to control it. It has to do with kidney function I am told. It's only been one week but I'm a bit blown away. Keep up the good diet Cerobit. I hope you start to exercise every day. That is excellent for glucose levels. Good luck to you!

T12 chiro adjustment is controlling BP?? what kind of drops are you seeing? I've had bp issues my entire adult life, i think from my personality. would love to get off the three bp meds i am on!

"what kind of drops are you seeing?" I'm not sure what you mean. BP drug? lisinopril. And yes, T12, Gonstead chiro going by the Gonstead Notes' protocol for HTN. Without med, BP would steadily increase to 180/100. I decided to try the experiment, stopped med, monitored BP increase over 2 days, T12 adjustment, 20 minutes later 145/85, next morning 156/90, adjusted again, back to 145/85, this morning 142/80. The protocol calls for daily monitoring and, if needed, adjustment, for one month. So far so good!
