Okay. Major updates. I've been out of the loop for a couple of weeks. Weight lifting/body building bulk is over. Christmas bulk? AUGH!!!

Tika is doing well. I haven't seen her in a week and she's a pound heavier but much longer and taller. We had a wonderful reunion. She now goes to her kennel but doesn't need the door closed. She stays there. Pretty cool. You can all eves drop on this next conversation.

Bruce: Hello old scale.
Scale: Where have you been? What have you done to yourself?
Bruce: I know, I know, but I missed you.
Scale: Looks like it.
Bruce: You're my conscience, okay? And now that I'm home I can eat what I need to eat.
Scale: You could have done that while you were away.
Bruce: Coulda, shoulda, didn't.
Scale: Okay, fine. See me before you eat anything, okay?
Bruce: Deal. What about those cookies the wife has out on the table.
Scale: ლ(ಠ益ಠ)ლ

So. Yeah. Stupid. Being home will help though and there's no Tim Horton's in town. I'm sure some of this weight is bloat, but it won't all be.

The funny thing was, while I was eating poorly (and wanting more) I felt horrible. What's up with that?

My plan:
No starchy carbs.
Weigh it all. Measure only if it can't be weighed.
Count any oils used to cook in.
1800 cals a day for a week to see how it goes.
Lifting twice a week for maintenance.
Walk the dog.

My goal:
25 pounds in 5 months.
Back to visible abs.

I missed you guys. This site, and my scale, are the key to maintenance... and my people here who are willing to give me the gears when I need it.

Anyone in this as a resolution, feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to encourage and help you stay on the straight an narrow. Above all, diet is a head game.

197.4 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 29.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

When I was eating poorly I felt like crap too. Hoping to start feeling good again soon once my body adjusts to healthier portion sizes and foods again. Glad to have you back :)

Well I guess you felt horrible because of the sugar crashes but also because of your guilty conscience but it probably was fun at the moment you had the treats, welcome back :-)

Agree about the sugar crashes and the evil that carbs do in terms of bloating, lethargy and all that glycogen water weight. You're exhausted from hauling around more than you're used to. Welcome to the boat. We're all in it together. Welcome home. We missed you, too. Stop leaving town - it's bad for your health!
