Wow Deb, how do you intend to celebrate?

Did Paul really make you thin? How did he fit into the equation?

Paul McKenna's 4 golden rules: 1)When you are hungry, eat. 2)Eat what you want (not what you think you "should"). 3)Eat consciously and enjoy every mouthful. 4)When you are full stop. He teaches tapping to calm down. I don't do the tapping on my face but on my thigh. It's not so obvious to other people that I am tapping. My bio has the link to some videos.

Looks to me you're doing an amazing job. I've been sick the last couple days so i'm not getting on the scales yet.

My plan is to celebrate twice. ;) I want to go to the beauty shop and get a new haircut, but that needs an appointment and planning with my family to see who is going to take me out. In the meantime, I will probably order myself one of those blenders that I can make a smoothie in it. :)

Elaine Petrone also recommends tapping in her Miracle Ball Method.

What is tapping?

Kate Hanley: Called Tapping the Breastbone, this exercise is subtly energizing, de-stressing, and helps you feel more supported by coaxing your spine in to a more erect posture. (And it's yet another way to access the Sea of Tranquility acupressure point, which I've written about before.) Here's how to do it: Tapping the Breastbone • Sit up tall in your chair or cross-legged on the floor. • Lightly cup your fingers and let your wrists be loose. • Tap the fingertips of both hands up and down your breastbone—which runs horizontally directly between your boobs and is approximately six inches long from bottom to top. • As you tap, notice the subtle changes you feel in your body. Pause after 30 seconds or so and focus on detecting any effects. • If a co-worker sees you and asks what you're doing, give him or her your best Tarzan imitation, a la Carol Burnett (it's four and a half minutes in, but it's worth the wait if you've got the time). • As you tap, notice the subtle changes you feel in your body. Pause after 30 seconds or so and focus on detecting any effects. While I was tapping, I noticed that I took a big deep breath after a few seconds. When I was done, my chest felt a lot more open, and I felt that my weight had shifted so that my upper back was doing more to support the weight of my shoulders, neck and head (instead of having all that mass slump forward toward my keyboard, requiring my neck to carry most of the load). I also felt like the light in the room was a little brighter. Pretty powerful stuff for something free, fast, and easy.

Thanks, everyone! Chris, I had not read anything from Kate Hanley. Will have to learn about her. Many people teach tapping. It's a very beneficial activity. I saw Wayne Dyer has an interview about EFT Tapping, using it to release tension, to forgive someone, to calm rage, etc. Paul McKenna uses EFT Tapping to curb cravings.

You're there, Deb..... enjoy the feeling and congratulations! I have no doubt whatsoever that you'll maintain and I sincerely hope that you'll stay on FS because so many of us rely on you! (Pretty please!)

Had never heard of tapping. Will have to delve into that some.

You are in a life time marathon and you are approaching the finish line for your first race. Now is not the time to give in your temptations are running on your heels but you are better and stronger than that. Give it you best and push it to cross the line. (I hear the theme song of "Rocky" playing for you and "We are the champions" you can make this last push and cross that line.

.2 lbs to go? That's easy! Just weigh in after a good workout! I typically drop 1-2 lbs of sweat on a good workout day... weigh before the workout and again after the workout! The pre workout weigh in also motivates me to work a little harder, especially when it seems I might be a bit higher than expected! I predict a win for you! Congrratulations! What is your next fitness goal?

Thank you Chris for the good description of Tapping. I'll have to try it.

Yes, I was only .2 lbs away. See my next day's journal. I made it! :)
